Hunting Season - Hunters looking for an opportunity to take that whitetail buck, goose, duck or turkey will find no better place to pursue their dream than in the area surrounding Anderson Lake Lodge.  For the past 15+ years, Anderson Lake Lodge has been exclusively rented to one group.  Unfortunately they are unable to visit this season, therefore we are able to offer this private 350 acre property with a beautiful northwoods lodge for this season, at a substantially discounted price.  These are one time prices, available only this season.

By renting during deer season, you automatically have hunting rights on the 350 acres.  There are several established box blinds in place on the property and many good locations for tree and ground stands.  The property has all the elements of good hunting:  fields, swamps, cut overs and deep woods.  Plus a woods road accesses the entire property.

The lodge accommodates up to 16 guests but we recommend not more than 10 hunters.  In addition to the 350 acres of private land, there are thousands of acres of state, federal and CFR lands available to hunt very close to the lodge.

Hunting opportunities abound in Iron County and with liberal harvest quotas and baiting laws, the chance for success is better here than anywhere we know!  Grouse season runs concurrently (lots of birds) and you may hunt waterfowl on the property.

Deer Hunting - Deer hunters looking for an opportunity to take that whitetail buck will find no better place to pursue their dream than in the area surrounding Anderson Lake Lodge.

Historically Anderson Lake Lodge has been rented exclusively to the same group October 15 through November 30 for 15+ years.  Anderson Lake Lodge is now available for the 2009 hunting season exclusively for $8,000 ($800/hunter based on 10 hunters) if the hunting reservation is made by August 1, 2009.  Thereafter, we will rent the property for 2 weeks blocks to ensure limited hunting pressures.  During archery season Oct 1 - Nov 15, the rate is $2,400 for two weeks.  One week blocks are available for rifle season, Nov 15-Nov 22 ($4,000) and Nov. 23-Nov 30 ($2,500).  All of rifle season is available for $6,000.

Two buck licenses are available to hunters, subject to quality deer management rules.  Over the counter anterless tags will be available (first come, first serve) September 17.

Bow Hunting:  Nothing can describe the sensation of having a trophy buck pass by your stand, so close you can see the steam coming from its nostrils!  Only a bow hunter can appreciate the peaceful serenity of the woods in early fall, as deer continue to move freely, yet unaffected by man's presence.  The successful bow hunter requires knowledge of the deer's natural movement and habits.

Rifle Season:  Traditionally looked forward to as much as any holiday!  Michigan's liberal harvest quotas allow hunters to purchase a second license to take an additional deer.

Muzzle Loading Season - Muzzle loaders have a special 10 day season in Michigan following the traditional gun deer season.  Good snow cover in early December provides excellent tracking and vision in the woods, increasing the hunters' chances for success during this special season.
